Welcome to the Official Appalachian State University Camellia Bowl Tour! To ensure that all goes smoothly, please read the following information carefully, as it will provide valuable information about your trip.  Upon arrival at the Renaissance, proceed to the front desk to check-in and receive your room key. If you arrive prior to the hotel’s normal check-in time of 4:00 pm, your room may not be ready. Your luggage may be stored with the bell staff until you are notified that your room is available.  Thank you for traveling with us, we look forward to seeing you in Montgomery!

Official Tour Credential

To help tour hosts identify you as part of the App State Fan Travel group, we ask that you wear your official tour credential (name badge) for all tour related events. Your credentials will be distributed with your travel documents on-site. Tour credentials are required for all motorcoach transfers.

Friday, December 16

Upon arrival

Check-in at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel. You have been pre-registered but you will be asked to provide a credit card for any incidentals during your stay.

10:00 am – 12:00 pm &
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Pick up your game tickets at the Appalachian State will-call table in the Embassy Suites lobby (across the street from the Renaissance).

3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Tour Hospitality Desk will be staffed in the hotel lobby. Please stop by to pick up your souvenir, tour credential and meet your on-site staff.

4:00 pm

Montgomery Advertiser Street Fest and Pep Rally begins at the Union Station Train Shed (300 Water Street in downtown Montgomery).

Featured events include:
5:30 pm – Appalachian State pep rally
6:15 pm – Montgomery Christmas Parade (starts at State Capitol on Dexter Avenue)

6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Mountaineer Talk

Stop by the Embassy Suites lobby (300 Tallapoosa St) for a special Raycom Media Camellia Bowl edition of Mountaineer Talk. The “Voice of the Mountaineers”, Adam Witten, will be on hand with full pregame analysis and a slew of special guests.

7:00 pm – 11:00 pm

AviatorBar in downtown Montgomery (166 Commerce Street) will serve as the headquarters/gathering spot for Appalachian State fans outside of the game and other official events. The Yosef Club and the Appalachian Alumni Association will be on hand with items to help Mountaineer fans paint Montgomery Black and Gold.
Saturday, December 17

10:00 am – 12:30 pm

Pick up your game tickets at the Appalachian State will-call table in the Embassy Suites lobby (across the street from the Renaissance).

9:00 am – 11:30 am

Tour Hospitality Desk will be staffed.

12:00 pm

Motorcoaches depart the Renaissance for the Official Appalachian State Pregame Tailgate Party, which will be held at Paterson Field (1215 Madison Avenue – adjacent to the Cramton Bowl).

2:30 pm

Game Ticket pickup at the stadium (Gate 8).

4:30 pm

Raycom Media Camellia Bowl Kick-off!

Following the Game

Immediately following the game and trophy presentation motorcoaches return to the Renaissance.
